ATWP Art, Design & Culinary Club

A practical and creative space for students to explore their own ideas through drawing, painting, mixed media, photography and design. Students learn new techniques, experiment with different materials and develop work from an initial idea through to a finished piece.

Projects can include fine art, photography, graphic and production design, props, set concepts and creative projects linked to theatre and live events. Students are encouraged to develop their own style rather than everyone producing exactly the same thing.

We can also support students studying GCSE Art and Photography, including developing ideas, experimenting with techniques and building stronger portfolios.

With Chef Burns  

More than simply following a recipe. Our Culinary Club gives young people the opportunity to develop real kitchen skills and confidence with food through practical cooking and baking.

Students explore ingredients, flavours, food from different countries and cultures, kitchen safety, preparation techniques and presentation, alongside themed cooking challenges and seasonal projects.

From learning basic skills to creating complete dishes, the emphasis is on becoming more independent, adventurous and confident in the kitchen.

We can also support learning connected to GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition / Food Technology.

This is where art, design and performance come together. Students can explore the creative work that happens behind the scenes of productions, events and the wider creative industries.

Projects may include photography, posters and promotional material, production concepts, props, set and costume ideas, creative media and event design. Where possible, students can see their ideas become part of real ATWP productions and events.

It gives students who love creativity — but don't necessarily want to be the person standing centre stage — another way to create, contribute and discover where their skills could take them.
